FHA Lowers Insurance Premiums – Buyers Win

 According to this recent article in the Washington Post, “The Obama administration estimates that by lowering FHA’s annual mortgage insurance premiums by half a percentage point, as many as 250,000 new buyers will be able to purchase a house.” For Buyer’s who already qualified to purchase a home the lower payments will give them more purchasing power. I have one client whose monthly payment will be reduced by almost $60. That is fantastic news for Tuolumne County where in 2014, according to the TCAR MLS, 112 out 896 residential home sales involved FHA loans.
